My Story

By day, I’m a school bus driver—a job that brings me so much joy. I love safely shuttling kids to and from school, and if you look around the shop, you’ll notice a few school bus toys as a playful nod to that part of my life. Until I retire from driving, T’s Tallow and Teas will be open on weekends, during school breaks and in the summer months.

Before driving a bus, I spent decades managing a team that supported adults living with developmental disabilities and severe mental health challenges. That work shaped me in lasting ways, teaching me the importance of kindness, compassion and empathy toward everyone.

This shop is an extension of all those parts of me. It’s a place where I get to share small-batch tallow creations, soothing teas and thoughtful gifts that encourage self-care and well-being. Most of all, it’s a place where I get to connect with you—and that brings me so much joy.

My husband Ed and I live in Anacortes with our two Newfoundland pups and a few cats. I’m the mom of three grown daughters and “Grammy” to 9 wonderful grandchildren—some pictured on this page.

I love this community and am grateful for each person who walks up a flight of stairs to visit T’s Tallow and Teas. I hope to see you soon!
